Here at Budwood, we are dedicated to providing nurturing, family-style residential children’s homes specifically designed for young people aged 12-17 who may have complex needs. Our homes are vibrant, welcoming environments where children can find a sense of belonging and security. We understand that every child is unique, and our mission is to offer a safe haven where they can grow, develop, and thrive.

Our homes are more than just places to live; they are active and engaging communities where children are encouraged to explore their potential and discover their strengths. With the support of a highly professional and caring staff team, we create an atmosphere that fosters growth in all aspects of life. Whether it’s helping young people build strong, healthy relationships, guiding them in managing their behaviour, or supporting their educational goals, we are committed to nurturing their development every step of the way.

At Budwood, we recognise the importance of holistic care, which is why we also prioritise the physical and mental health of the children in our care. We strive to provide them with the tools and resources they need to succeed not just today, but for the rest of their lives. Our goal is to empower these young people to express their unique character, strengths, and talents, enabling them to share their gifts with the world confidently.

We prioritise the safety of our young people, ensuring they are kept safe from all forms of abuse and neglect.
We foster a culture of open communication, teamwork and trust between children and our residential support workers.
We empower children to achieve and participate, giving them a voice in every aspect of their care and ensuring they have access to the activities and hobbies they love.
Challenging behaviour is addressed in a compassionate, therapeutically informed way, recognising that many of the young people who come to stay with us may have experienced abuse, neglect, or trauma.
