Registered Children's Home Manager

Salary: £35 – £40K dependant on experience

Location: Bournemouth

Candidates must have experience in working in Child Protection and Looked After Children Services, and have the relevant qualifications. 

We are currently looking for a Children’s Home Manager for our new children’s home in Bournemouth for up to 2 young people. This is an exciting opportunity to join a strong team, in partnership with the local authority.

The successful candidate will manage the day to day operations of the home, supervise the staff, engage with the young people as required and lead on the professional networking with our Local Authority customers. They will also work closely with the ‘Budwood Team Around the Child’ – including support workers, therapists, education specialist and senior social work manager.The successful applicant will hold a level 5 relevant qualification in Residential Child Care, be flexible, have an understanding of working with traumatised young people, be knowledgeable about attachment disorder and promote an environment that is safe and nurturing.

We are looking for a person who has substantial experience in residential care and an understanding of Ofsted regulatory requirements.

Budwood will facilitate for the successful candidate to complete an intensive training programme of therapeutic parenting (preferably DDP). Budwood invests strongly in our staff, with career progression valued and encouraged. Our managers have recently been engaged in training on coaching, NLP as well as specialist courses run by national agencies such as NWG.

Experience: Children’s home: 2 years (Preferred)
Licence/Certification: Driving license (Preferred)
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Residential Care (Preferred)
